Our love story…

I knew Audrey from high school, but news to me on our first date, Audrey didn’t know me. As the most popular and beautiful girl at the mythical Bishop Gorman, everyone knew and loved Audrey Futryk. Even then, her presence lit up every room she walked into, impossible to ignore. We met, on several occasions. I like to tell Audrey she doesn’t remember me because even then, she left me speechless. What can I say, I had a forgettable face in high school! Years went by, life ticked on, we lived hundreds of miles apart and experienced all of the things a 20 something could experience. When we reconnected, it was incredible how much we had in common and how she instantly lit up the room, again. On our first date, we couldn’t stop talking, laughing, and smiling. We went to Summer House at the Durango and caught up for hours. I could have sat at that table forever. After dinner she indulged my request to go bowling with a smile. She was on fire; a fiercely competitive, ultra-athlete. Surely the most beautiful bowler to ever grace the lanes. I remember thinking to myself when I got home that night how incredible it was to find a woman that I could have not only deep conversations about anything with, but a woman who can have fun in any situation. I say “any situation” because it couldn’t have been that fun to get crushed 3 games to 0. I knew from that moment on that this woman was more incredible than the words I could use to describe her. Since that night, our love has blossomed into something I could have only dreamt of as a young man. She is smart, both street and book. She sees the good in even the worst of situations. She makes everyone around her better, in every way.. She is so HOTBEAUTIFULGORGEOUSOMG. Every day that I get to spend with Audrey is a day that I cherish and hold dear. She is the best thing that has ever, and will ever, happen to me. I’m not sure what I did in this life to deserve Audrey, but I will spend every day for the rest of my life working to keep her. Thank you all for playing a part in our love story. We are so excited to get married, and we cannot wait to celebrate with you all!

-Dylan

Our love story began with a match on Hinge and a surprising message.

“Do you remember me?”.

Dylan was adamant we knew each other in high school but I was skeptical, not remembering meeting him. We discovered we had countless mutual friends and had been at the same high school parties. Our first date felt like catching up with someone I somehow already knew. We laughed constantly. We talked about travel, art, the places we’d been and the places we dreamed of. From there, everything unfolded naturally.
We went bowling, took art classes, spent afternoons shopping at The District and somewhere in those simple, joyful moments, love settled in. There are so many things I love about Dylan. I love the way he adores my family—how he fits in with them effortlessly, how he cares about the people who shaped me. I love how he can make me laugh even on the days when laughter seems impossible. And I deeply love how unwavering he is in supporting my sobriety. Dylan has taught me a new definition of love and companionship. I feel incredibly blessed to marry my best friend and we couldn’t be more excited to share this special day with all of you!
